“Counselling has always been part of my DNA. This is not merely a profession for me but a way of being.”
Yearning to be truly heard? Has life left you feeling fragile? Do you fear the pain of hearing your own story? Injuries occur to one’s mental health as they do to one’s physical health. These become sore, sensitive, and more painful over time. Depression, anxiety, isolation, obsessive thinking, stress, trauma, and neurodiversity are just a sample of life’s most common challenges that Sarah works with. An empathic, client-therapist relationship is key. Sarah’s truly gentle, warm, and discerning nature provides many the safe environment and undergirding they need to tell their story and process hard stuff. Clients are always given a choice over any intervention suggested. Using an integrative practice style and evidence-based research around attachment, schemas, and family-of-origin work are just some of the many modalities used. Trained in trauma-informed theory and practice, Sarah has a strong interest in helping those who feel the painful effects it has had on their lives, afraid it will never get better.
Sarah’s Applied linguistics training has helped in her experience working cross-culturally with ex-pats, migrants, refugees, and asylum seekers. It continues to greatly inform her therapy work. Sarah likes working with her Neurodiverse clients, helping them discover and navigate relationships and life events. She works across the lifespan with adolescents, individual adults, and couples.
